Brief
This client came from a well known marketing agency that caters to plastic surgeons.
The issue was that with each core algorithm update, they were seeing organic traffic go down to essentially zero, then seeing a recovery with subsequent updates.
This was having a dramatic impact on the practice’s financials and was causing significant stress for them.
They had a $2000/mo budget for SEO.

We suspected that Google viewed some of the clinic’s website content as being less than “high-quality,” so we did a content audit to identify any articles that were not getting any traffic or that were fluctuating dramatically following core algorithm updates.
We found a large amount of poorly written content that we deleted and redirected.
The website also had a number of easily-implemented technical improvements, including:
- Restructuring the navigation to make it easier to navigate and better concentrate the flow of link equity throughout the website
- Adding breadcrumbs to all child pages
- Removing unnecessary pages from the navigation and footer links
We also began building links to the facelift, necklift, rhinoplasty, and botox pages. The website now ranks on page 1 for all related “procedure + city” searches we monitor.
Overall, organic traffic increased 700% and continues to climb. Several core algorithm updates have since rolled out and the website has not been negatively impacted by any of them. The practice dominates the map results in this U.S. city for rhinoplasty and facelift searches.
