Brief
This client is a dermatologist in one of the most competitive markets in the United States — New York City. They were struggling to rank in position 1 for all of their existing service pages, which meant they weren’t getting the organic search visibility they wanted, drastically lowering their lead acquisition.
We started by conducting keyword research to identify how their target patients were searching for these services in NYC. Then, we continually made on-page optimizations and improved internal linking to build authority and increase rankings in the SERPs.
Results
When we started with this client in 2022, their priority service pages were not getting much traffic. These services include mole removal, acne scar treatment, and scar revision.
Before we started with this client, their mole removal page was fluctuating between position 2 to position 5. After our most recent on-page optimizations, this page shot to position 1 and has remained steady. After reaching position 1, this page saw a 7% traffic increase over the last 60 days.
Their acne scar treatment service page started out around position 8. It fluctuated between positions 8 and 2 until this May when it shot to position 1 following on-page optimizations. After moving up from position 3 to position 1, traffic increased by 10% quarter over quarter. Comparing year over year traffic from May to August,) and May traffic increased by 199%.
Their scar revision page started in position 12 and is now in position 2 following on-page optimizations, link building, and internal linking. Comparing Q1 traffic to Q2 of 2024, the page saw a traffic increase of 37%.
