Brief

This client provides medical weight loss injections like Semaglutide & Tirzepatide across the state of Florida. They were running a Google Ads campaign to generate leads that was underperforming.

Issues we had when starting the account: 

  • Unreliable conversion tracking.
  • Lots of branded clicks & unnecessary spending on informational clicks. 
  • A high percentage of unqualified leads.

Results

When we first started with this account, the top priority was updating the conversion tracking and landing page. The account was using several conversions that weren’t actually conversions, so we opted to remove these from the account entirety and start fresh. 

We solved the issue of branded clicks by significantly tightening the keyword targeting. Prior, all keywords in the account were broad match, which frequently generated searches for reviews of other brands/companies and informational queries. In addition, we implemented our master negative keyword list, which we’ve collected from other accounts advertising medical weight loss, to cut back on a large portion of unnecessary spending. 

In month 1, our cost per lead sat at $83.91, and by month 3, we had brought down the cost per lead to ~$71.54. At the time of writing in July 2024, we’re currently on pace to achieve a cheaper cost per lead this month compared to June.
